Rosaceae This family includes herbaceous plants, shrubs and trees. The flowers are always radially symmetrical and they have many stamens (except when selected and bred so that petals replace stamens) but they show wide variation in other features:
Examples include strawberry, cinquefoil, apple, plum, cherry and of course rose. |
