Syn: Cedrus libani var. brevifolia Hook. f. (1, 2).

Description

"A medium-size tree. Crown on older specimens broad and umbrella-shaped. Branches short, horizontally spread. Needles 5-8 (12) mm long, thick, blue-green. Cones cylindrical, with a large protuberance in the concave apex, about 7 cm long and 4 cm wide" (2).

Range

Cyprus: "the mountainous area of Pophos, Troodes and Tripylos, where it covers about 500 ha" (2).
